![]() ![]() She is VERY shy and timid at first with human strangers and must build trust at her own pace. She does well with male and female dogs of all sizes, and she must have a fenced yard to run around in. Missy MUST have another dog as she builds confidence and finds much happiness and peace surrounded by other canines. She has absolutely “blossomed” and is the life of the party in her foster family’s pack. Look how stunning this beautiful girl is now! Missy was extremely scared of people when she came into foster. Missy is a beautiful 3yr old Lab/Chow mix weighing in at 54 lbs! Missy came to rescue from GA with a terribly painful skin infection and mange. If you can give Mollie the life she deserves, please apply online to adopt Mollie (AL) here. Mollie has waited all her young life to experience love, kind words, soft touches and a happy home, and she is now ready to live that dream. Mollie does best with confident dogs who will keep her in check. She knows to go right in when it’s dinner or treat time and it’s become a positive space for her. Despite her past, Mollie’s crate is her safe space and she goes in on her own whenever she’s feeling overwhelmed. Mollie is a dream on a leash, does well in the car and is housetrained she would LOVE a yard where she can lay in the sun in her forever home. She is a pure bundle of love and just wants to be loved in return. Now healed, Mollie is sweeter than all the sugar in the world. Underweight, Mollie spent her life in a crate in her own waste to the extent that the pads of her feet were burnt and infected. It took some time for Mollie’s owner to surrender her after we rescued her puppies and her condition told a story of the horrific abuse she has suffered. Mollie (AL) is a female possibly German Shepherd Dog/Pit Bull Terrier mix rescued in Alabama, and estimated to be 18 months old at intake in February 2021. Our message is one teaching general animal care and welfare, population control through spay and neuter and disease control in the animal population via proper vaccinations. Our outreach and education efforts will take place on our website, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, as well as in person in the community via community events, school assemblies and any place people may lawfully gather to exchange information and learn. We will go beyond just vet care and get these animals rehabilitated as needed using trainers and behaviorists to help overcome issues related to past trauma. ![]() It is our goal to focus on the rescue of these urgent animals and provide them immediately the routine, emergency or specialized medical care they need and deserve. Because the abuse, neglect, cruelty and medical cases cost shelters the most money and are the most urgent, they are often the first animals euthanized. We want to introduce these animals to the public and educate people that unwanted companion animals are not damaged goods or unworthy, but really can be great family pets. Our goal is to save abused & at risk dogs from kill shelters & provide vetting & loving homes. Since its inception, Rescue Dogs Rock NYC has saved over 9,300 dogs. We exist solely on donations and rely primarily on fundraising to help animals in need. “Save a life by adopting instead of shopping” Rescue Dogs Rock is a non-profit animal rescue founded in 2015. RDRNYC is a 501c3, volunteer & foster based rescue. We could not take this huge step without you. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your ongoing support. Will you help us get our facility up and running? We have hired a general contractor & are very excited to get started with this huge undertaking. Our new rescue center will cost approximately $350,000 to get it where it needs to be and ready to open and start taking in dogs. We want it to be a comfortable oasis for these dogs who have already been through so much. We need bigger and more modern kennels & air conditioning to start. It really needs to be gutted and rebuilt. Now the real work comes in as the center is in disrepair and has nothing done to it in probably 30 years. This has been 3 years in the making, so we are very excited to have come this far. That is the good news and why we chose this particular property. The center sits on half an acre and allows indoor/outdoor kennels and has lots of outdoor space. This will allow us to save many more needy and deserving dogs. As announced one short month ago, we have acquired our own rescue and rehabilitation center in Suffolk County on Long Island giving us our own home for our dogs in need. ![]()
